What a great idea it was to take a day off, today, in Matsuyama. I liked the city very much, from morning until evening.

It’s already past 9 PM here so today’s post will be a short one. I will compensate the lack of writing with more pictures.

The highlight of the day was the visit to the castle. I made a live video on the Rovering Live Facebook page to show the interior of the main keep (link here).

Matsuyama is the main city in the Ehime prefecture, also famous for its tasty tangerines.

After dusk, I tried a Japanese curry for the first time and was not disappointed.

Before coming back to the hotel, an American guy approached me and started a long conversation. I was suspicious from the beginning, as I believe he was on to something.

I remember reading how sometimes there are westerners trying to scam other foreigners. I looked at myself through the eye of a potential scammer and I saw a lone guy wandering with a camera: an easy prey.

Ten or fifteen minutes into the conversation, I played the “need to get up early tomorrow” card and went away. He just wouldn’t stop talking about his life, how his girlfriend broke up with him, how he only owns books and so on. Yeah, yeah, sure man.

My guts told me to go, and so I did.

Tomorrow I will walk to the next two temples and hopefully plan my upcoming days. I was supposed to do it today, but I just didn’t have the time.

Now it’s time to hit the “Publish” button, make a cup of tea, and finally go to sleep.
