Day 31: the mantra
Just walk. Just walk. Another step. That’s what I’ve been repeating to myself these last days.

Day 30: up, up, down, down, left, right…
Today’s walk looked like a Konami code. I reached the 45th temple and came back, along a hilly path full of ups and downs.

Day 29: feeling fit
The legs keep on walking and I feel great. No physical problems so far. Lucky me!

Day 28: he slept here
Today I crossed the bridge under which Kōbō Daishi slept for one night. Pilgrims now try not to make too much noise there, in case he were sleeping again.

A cold morning couldn’t wake my muscles up. Only the forest and a uphill path did, eventually.
